Doodle!

Spent some time doodling yesterday and this is what came out:

Edit: Update!

UPDATE Doodle 25-12-2010
Spent a bit more time on it.

Doodle 25-12-2010

So, I felt like doing a doodle and this, kinda of demon type of character reared its head. Nothing beats sculpting demons on Christmas eve I suppose:)

Celldweller I Believe You

Female

Here's a quick look at one of the things I've been up to lately:

Female Bust 16-12-2010

It's the latest in a quite a few attempts at creating a proper female head. The bust is based on an actress but while the major features are getting there, she needs a bit more work before I really nail that likeness. And now, music!

Rob Zombie - Dragula

Whoops!

It seems I kind of lost track of things but don't worry, I'll have more art stuff incoming real soon. I did do a couple of studies recently and am starting a new one as well. Here's an amazing poem in the meanwhile:

Three Women
A Poem for Three Voices
Setting: A Maternity Ward and round about

FIRST VOICE:
I am slow as the world. I am very patient,
Turning through my time, the suns and stars
Regarding me with attention.
The moon's concern is more personal:
She passes and repasses, luminous as a nurse.
Is she sorry for what will happen? I do not think so.
She is simply astonished at fertility.

When I walk out, I am a great event.
I do not have to think, or even rehearse.
What happens in me will happen without attention.
The pheasant stands on the hill;
He is arranging his brown feathers.
I cannot help smiling at what it is I know.
Leaves and petals attend me. I am ready.

SECOND VOICE:

Sintel and some comic relief

Got a bit caught up lately and haven't worked too much on art this past week. Will get working on fixing that though:)

Anyway, I just wanted to post and plug two great works of art, namely Sintel and Dance Fortress 2.

First up is Sintel, an open-source, fantasy animation film made entirely in Blender. Enjoy!

And then for some comic relief:) Dance Fortress 2!

Expressions and......Dinosaurs:)

Here's a quick, fun test I did earlier this week with Steve to try and give him a an expression that would suit him. It was a fun exercise that gave me a chance to further practice how muscles work/anatomy in general.

No music this time, instead I'm going to do a plug for Lukewarm Media, who are building a little game called Primal Carnage. I had a chance to work with these lads earlier in the year and they've been chugging out some really cool stuff. Without further ado, here's a fantastic trailer showing off the game in a new engine, UDK. Enjoy.

Primal Carnage UDK Trailer:

Another day, another post:)

Update time!

I just spent most of the day working on Steve to flesh him out a bit more. Here's a pic:

Music!

And Dean said, let there be light!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaand BAM!
My fist real blog post! It took me long enough to get something up and running but my website should be functional right around now, albeit a tad empty. Which of course presents me with a nice opportunity to post something, which I shan't pass up.

World, I give you, Steve!

Steve

Steve's an old Goblin that I've been using to better my anatomy and sculpting skills, and he's a blast so far. I plan building a scene around him, but more on that later. That's all for now, I'll have more to post soon.

Oh and I'm just going to go ahead and start a tradition.
Just like Dave Rapoza, I'll be adding some awesome music at the end of every blog post.

Why? Because I can:P
